Description: Roadway Asset Services, LLC (RAS) performed a pavement condition assessment for the City of Grapevine, TX to provide an accurate assessment of pavement. The pavement data collection started on September 8th 2023 and completed on September 22nd, 2023. This report provides the processes and procedures for pavement condition data collection, evaluation, and assessment of the results. The pavement condition assessment included an automated mobile data collection, a Pavement Condition Index (PCI) calculated using RAS’s pavement analysis tool - Technical Rating Intelligence Program (Road TRIPTM), and the delivery of an ESRI file geodatabase. The assessment and conditions rating were performed in general accordance with national standards, where applicable. The network PCI was determined following the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) D6433-11 “Standard Practice for Roads and Parking Lots Pavement Condition Index Surveys” to determine the PCI. This dataset contains linear roadway segment features associated with physical pavement evaluation results. Key attributes include:Identification & Limits: Cross-references to internal asset management IDs (CarteID, RASID) and segment limits (On_Street, From_Street, To_Street).Geometry & Dimensions: Field-verified linear and area metrics (Length, Width, Area).Overall Condition Metrics: Pavement Condition Index (PCI), PCI severity categories (PCI_Category), International Roughness Index (IRI), and normalized ride quality metrics.Surface Distress Breakdown: Specific structural and functional distress areas/counts broken down by severity level (Low, Moderate, High), including rutting, weathering, potholing, and patching.Commonly Used Acronyms:AC - Asphalt Concrete ASTM - American Society for Testing and Materials GPS - Global Positioning System IRI - International Roughness Index LCMS - Laser Crack Measurement System PCC - Portland Cement Concrete PCS - POS Computer System PCI - Pavement Condition Index POS - Position and Orientation System RAC - Roadway Asset Collection vehicle RAS - Roadway Asset Services Road TRIPT - Road Technical Rating Intelligence Program ROW - Right-of-way UNS - Unsurfaced
